disclaimer: this thread is not meant to instigate an argument about "whos mulatto", its just meant to show examples of people who are 1/4th mixed..... please read through the thread before posting to prevent redundant information.
Examples of 1/4th mulatto people (quadroons and "griffes"):
Victoria Rowall with her daughter (1/4 black), and son (1/4 white) -- his father is wynton Marsalis
Rae Dawn Chongs daughter (1/4 black)
actress Pershia White, with daughter (1/4th black)
Jazmine Guy's Children (1/4th white)
Eddie Murphy's Children (1/4th white)

Kim Porter (1/4th white) with her mother (on the left)
^^ i'm not sure if Kims exactly 1/4th. I've heard that her mother is half white, but she might be MGM...in which case it could be some other fraction.
... and thats Kim's son Quincy on the right.
Ziggy Marley (Bob's Son with Rita) is 1/4th white
Salli Richardson's Daughter (1/4 white)
Edited to say: the father (Dondre Whitfield) has some degree of mixed backround so Salli's daughter is likely closer to 1/2 white.
Joakim Noah (1/4th black)
Designer Santino Rice (from Project Runway) is 1/4th black..... I couldnt find a picture of his mother who is 1/2 black/ 1/2 italian

wow that is so weird n rather cool to kno. lol. so next time a white person they have black in em i mite actually take them seriously. i knew persia whites daughter was "white" or 1/ 4th in this case cus she has a small role on girlfriends in 1 episode. that is amazzzzzzzzzzzzzzinng im astonished

Brazilian Actress Tais Araujo has a portuguese grandfather, and her mother is mulatto.

let's use "griffe" rather than "sambo" for now on the board to refer to 25/75 white/black mulattos, unless you self-identify as "sambo" and are reclaiming the word, which currently is widely known only as a derrogatory term. |
